BIT BY BIT IT

Quiet, Clean Network Work in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills asks for two things above all: good results and discretion. The houses are large, often old and often renovated more than once, so I plan every job around the building and the people in it.

In the Flats

South of Sunset, the Flats are lined with large Spanish, Mediterranean, Colonial and Tudor houses, many with plaster, tile and wood details. Wi-Fi struggles in them. A big home needs several wired access points, one per zone, cabled back to a single place, usually a closet or a room off the garage. I run through attics, closets and chases so nothing shows on the walls.

In the hills

Above Sunset, in places like Trousdale Estates, houses are bigger and more modern, with glass, steel and concrete in the structure. Those build styles are hard on signal. Wired access points and well-planned paths make a big difference. I look at the plan with you and mark runs before I begin.

Cameras and privacy

Gates, hedges and long drives mean cameras need careful placement. I place them to cover the approaches and the entrances without pointing at neighbors. I keep your footage on a drive in your house that you control, and I teach you how the app works.

Offices and shops

Small offices, medical and legal practices, and boutiques along Wilshire and Beverly Drive need a network that works and that guests can use without touching your private systems. I set up separate guest Wi-Fi, a clean rack or wall cabinet, and a spot for a server or backup.

Storage and backup

Many households keep photo libraries, documents and business files. I can set up a small server or storage box with backups.

Across the pass

Beverly Hills is over the Sepulveda Pass from Van Nuys, then east along Sunset or Mulholland. Call or write to talk about your house.

What I do in Beverly Hills

  • Wi-Fi coverage

Access points wired back to your network so the signal reaches the rooms that used to be dead zones.

  • Security cameras

Wired cameras mounted where they cover what matters, a recorder set up to keep footage, and viewing on your phone.

  • Servers and network gear

Racks, switches, routers and home or office servers installed, configured and cabled neatly.

  • Ethernet wiring

I pull cable through the walls and attic to the rooms you pick, finish it at clean wall jacks, and bring every run back to one central spot.

  • Laptop and PC repair

A computer that's slow, won't start, throws errors, or just isn't acting right. I'll track down what's wrong and get it running again.

  • Network troubleshooting

Internet that crawls, devices that keep dropping off, or a setup someone else left behind. I'll find the problem and fix it.

How a job goes

  1. Walkthrough

I come out, look at the space, and you show me where you want connections and cameras.

  2. Plan and quote

You get a clear plan of what goes where and a price before any work starts.

  3. Install

Cable gets run, gear gets mounted, and everything is tested room by room.

  4. Hand-off

Before I leave, I show you how to use the camera app, the Wi-Fi and anything else I set up.
